Itinerary and Program

Day 1 - July 19 - Saturday

Arrival at the José Martí Int'l airport in Havana. Reception and welcoming from a Cuban representative. Transfer and accommodation at the hotel Vedado in Havana.

Day 2 - July 20 - Sunday

Breakfast at the hotel.
Tour of Old Havana and visit of the Museo de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Museum.).
Lunch at Castillo de Farnes. In the afternoon, visit of the Casa de Africa with presentation of a folk dance and visit of Regla later on. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 - July 21 - Monday

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit of the Casa de Hemingway in la Finca la Vigia and visit of Cojimar. Lunch at Las Terrazas de Cojimar. Tour of the University and Lecture on USA-Cuba relations.

Day 4 - July 22 - Tuesday

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit of the Museo de Historia Natural (Museum of Natural History) and conference given by a specialist from the Academia de Ciencias on the conservation of the environment in Cuba. Lunch at la Mina. Dinner at the hotel.
Evening chat on USA-Cuba relations with an American specialist living in Cuba.

Day 5 - July 23 - Wednesday

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, conference on history in the Biblioteca Nacional and visit of the Museo de la Revolucion (Museum of revolution) and Cigar Factory. Lunch at el Aljibe. Transfer to Playa Larga. Accommodation at the Hotel Playa Larga.

Day 6 - July 24 - Thursday

Very early visit of Las Salinas in la Cienaga de Zapata to observe migratory birds. Visit Playa Giron Museum. Lunch at La Cueva de los Peces. In the afternoon, transfer to Trinidad and accommodation at the Hotel Costa Sur. On the way to Trinidad short city tour of Cienfuegos. Dinner at the hotel Costa Sur.

Day 7 - July 25 - Friday

Breakfast at the hotel.
Walking tour of Trinidad and visit of the Romantic Museum. Lunch at Santa Ana. In the afternoon visit Sugar Mills view point and Manaca Iznaga House. Dinner at the hotel. In the evening visit to a CDR

Day 8 - July 26 - Saturday

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Santa Clara, city tour and visit to the Che Mausoleum. Lunch at La Granjita. Accommodation at the Hotel Los Caneyes.

Day 9 - July 27 - Sunday

Transfer to Havana. Lunch at Café Taberna. Accommodation at the Hotel Vedado.

Day 10 - July 28 - Monday

Transfer to the José Martí International airport for return flight to Montreal.
