Rates and Policy for groups / free trips

ALL PRICES ARE IN CANADIAN DOLLARS

The package includes:

• Return air with Cubana
• Taxes (including the airport improvement fee) and Cuban tourist card not stamped in passport
• Transfers airport/hotel/airport in Havana (except for the hotel Colina and for all packages leaving out of Cancun)
• A representative of Varaplaya/Sol y Son, on the spot in Havana to help you with regards to flight, transfers, hotel.
• Hotel in double or single occupancy for 2, 3 or 4 weeks at the hotel of your choice.
• Breakfast only.
• The price equivalent of the Standard two-week Spanish course
• Placement test on the first day
• Course manual
• Certificate at the end of the course

The package does NOT include:

• Cuban departure tax (CUC 25)
• Academic visa (CUC 40 to 65) to study at the University of Havana. The academic visa is now compulsory for all students regardless of the duration. The academic visa is issued for the duration of the course. It is not possible to stay as a tourist after the class is finished.
• Any eventual fuel surcharge that the airline company may impose. We reserve the right to increase the package rates to take this into account. For the people who have already made a deposit or full payment, if we will have had the time to reserve the plane seat with the airline wholesaler before the application of an eventual fuel surcharge, clients will be exempt from the added fuel cost.
• Insurance (available from VCC)
• 2 meals per day and drinks.
• Optional excursions available from all proposed hotels
• Transfers airport/hotel/airport for the package with the hotel Colina and all packages leaving out of Cancun
• The 0.35% fee calculated on the whole amount of the trip (OPC's compensation fund for travellers)

Supplement costs for courses where applicable:

1. Standard two-week course. NO supplement.
2. Standard course for a three week period (70 $ CA supplement)
3. Standard course for a four week period (170 $ CA supplement)
4. Proficient of Perfecting level. Four weeks (275 $ CA supplement).
5. Business Spanish. Two weeks (no supplement), on request.
6. Special three-week course on Cuban Culture (275 $ CA supplement).
7. Consecutive four-week course (see Number 3 above) for one or two additional months. Rate on request.
8. Special four-month course: Language and Cuban Culture. Rates on request
9. Special six-month course: Language and Cuban culture. Rates on request.
10. Full semester: from October to June. Rates on request.

Prices are in CANADIAN DOLLARS and include return airfare from the above cities, hotel and courses.

Rates are in double occupancy. Single supplement charges are indicated at the bottom of the rates tables. Note that we do NOT offer any twinning services. We would like to strongly suggest that you reserve as soon as your decision is made, as the hotel rooms and airplane seats are limited because of the popularity of Havana as a destination. Do not allow yourself to be disappointed.

Our Policy on Groups and Free Trips -
University of Havana Spanish Language Trips

We offer one free language trip to an organization, an association or a group of people when this organism or group of people recruits between 16 and 32 persons having paid for the exact same trip and itinerary. When 33 paid people or more are recruited for the same itinerary by this organism or group of people, We offer a second free trip. The person (s) who travel(s) free must be designated by the organization or group of people. The free trip does NOT INCLUDE the Canadian taxes nor the Cuban visa (around CA $172), nor the supplement for single occupancy if so desired, nor any eventual fuel surcharge, nor the Cuban airport departure tax (CUC 25), nor any personal or group expenses

Reservation and payment:

• 250$ deposit, non refundable in case of cancellation
• Registration form filled out
• Final payment 60 days prior to departure

Cancellation policy:

• The 250$ deposit is non refundable in case of cancellation
• Between 59 and 45 days prior to departure, 50% of the total price is non refundable
• Between 44 and 30 days before departure, 75% of the total price is non refundable
• Less than 30 days before departure, 100% non refundable

It is your own responsibility to give us and be sure that your name given for the ticket is written exactly as it appears on the passport. A 100$ fee will be charged for any correction in the name after the ticket issue.
