Second week
The second week consists of perfecting the steps seen during the first week and the teaching of numerous dance steps according to the capacity or desire of the student. The Cuban rueda will be introduced during the second week of the program.
The course addresses itself to dance lovers, to beginners to seasoned amateur, and literally plunges you in the Salsa Culture all while practicing your favorite activity.
The Cuban culture is derived from a mixture of Africa and of Spain. Be it by their customs, typical cuisine, the costumes, the people, the music, the instruments, including dance and music, all these elements unite to give a picturesque mixture of Cuban culture.
The salsa is probably on of the finest examples since it is a result of an evolution of different cultural elements noticeably dance and music. By combining these elements has created the most popular Cuban dance of all time.
It's in the 50's in Cuba, with the appearance of casinos, that the Salsa got popular. From there it has spread throughout the world.
The Cuban Salsa is principally danced in couples, where the man leads, where spontaneity is predominant and the seduction and where preconceived choreography is not used. It is a result of harmony and 'Body language' between a couple to rhythm and music."

Good to know: Testimonials
The Salsa courses with Tito are simply great; he knew how to perfectly adapt to my level and made me work on my weaker points. As well as, the outings to the Casa de la Música were memorable. I even got the chance to be invited to a student soirée with a concert of LOS VAN VAN. In résumé, I am enchanted by my stay and would like to thank the organization.
Eric Haguenier, Paris.
I very much appreciated Tito and his team, very good reception and good quality of courses. Despite the different levels of difficulty of his 2 students, Tito has effectively pulled it off! Tito made me follow an accelerated rhythm in the course that I appreciate today.
Katrin Lesevre, Marseille.
I had a marvelous stay in Cuba. The courses with Tito were perfect for me. I basically danced the lead instead of following. Tito is an excellent professor and his assistants, Ernesto et Niuvys, are as well.
April Manahan, Toronto.
I had a marvelous stay in Cuba, and I very much liked my salsa courses with Tito. He is an excellent professor and it's relaxing to learn with him. Once he evaluates your level, he then has all the necessary tools to work on your movements. Tito is very adept to teach the salsa, he encourages you and he tries to improve your steps and turns continually. I would like to thank the organization of these courses.
Jeanette, USA.
I must say that I come back delighted with my stay. Tito, the professor, is very professional and has a predominantly large discipline concerning the schedule and respect of the content of the program that you have sent to me. What I have appreciated the most is his mastering of the theory which permitted him to skirt over the difficulties that I had to face, the nuances in the rhythm and the Cuban music. He has rearranged the schedule so that we can work upon the rhythm and that being everyday during one hour. That has helped me greatly to improve. As well as, I found it interesting the way that Tito always had a continuous link between his teaching and his know-how in the dance halls with the Cubans, which sometimes differs greatly especially when people are not really dancers. This way of learning permitted me to dance at my very first visit to the Casa de la Música, which I have really loved. The dance studio was perfectly convenient for me because it had lots of space and the heat of the day did not make itself known at that hour. As well as its location the Centro Havana facilitates access. Even if the professor spoke English, I preferred to practice my Spanish which ended up being a double learning experience for me. This is why without a doubt that I recommend the salsa course with Tito and his friends.
Pierrette Tremblay
His teaching was very professional: he taught me Cuban rhythms, explained to me a bit of the history of the Cuban dance (rumba, son, salsa…) He said that I was the first student of my kind, since I am a professional dancer in France, and I was just coming to learn the salsa so that I can teach it later on in France. He then taught me the men's steps so that I could teach this to students afterwards.
Conclusion: I am quite happy with my training.
